Wotton Youth Partnership

Renamed from Wotton Youth Liaison Group in 2016, The partnership consists of local organisations that work with young people and has existed since 2001 to support youth work in the Wotton area.

The key aim of the Wotton Youth

Partnership is to support young people in improving the outcomes they achieve

in education, training, employment and community engagement.

It achieves this through working with a

network of organisations to provide Youth Services to Young People in the area.

Wotton under Edge Lions

The Lions are a group of men and women with a motto of “We Serve”. We are very active in the community, with a major focus on youth development, ensuring they have the opportunity to be active members of our community.

Stroud District Youth Council and Wotton Youth Forum

Are you Interested in being a voice for young people in your community?

Are you between the ages of 13 – 19?

Do you want to have a voice, be heard and make change on matters in your local area?

Join us at Wotton Youth Forum, we meet fortnightly at Wotton Youth Centre. You will have the opportunity to be influential in your town, design and run your own community projects, learn new skills, make new friends and much more. The youth forums are for all young people, are completely voluntary, you do not need any special skills, the group welcomes diversity and difference.

Youth forum Members can also represent on Stroud District Youth Council. Here members get to have influence on youth services and programmes at a district, regional and national level.

Stroud District Youth Council was established in March 2000 and has representatives from the 7 schools in the district and from 9 Youth forums. The groups are facilitated by Professional Youth and Community workers and work alongside community groups to offer young people opportunities to get involved, be heard and make change, importantly learning about themselves and the world around them in the process.

Wotton Climate Action Group

We are a non political, community led Climate Action Group serving Wotton-under-Edge and the surrounding areas. We aim to help residents and businesses reduce their carbon emissions, with a goal of seeing our area become carbon neutral by 2030. We do this through practical activities, tips and advice. Our free events are open to all ages and abilities.
